The ancient tribes and civilisations which lived on earth (before the year 1350) all situated their sacred sites and their villages on sacred sites. The people felt that these places were special, and always kept these in their minds. Worldwide there still exist many old temples and sacred sites, which were situated on crosspoints of leylines. Also high points in the landscape on earth contain crosspoints of leylines.
- Europe: The ancient people here had sacred sites in nature, like sources, sacred trees or groups of trees, and other spots in nature. Also (Greek/Roman) temples were built as sacred site. Further back in time megalithic monuments were built like standing stones (menhirs), stone circles and dolmens. Also burial mounds and other sacred hills were created.

4. Are there any maps of leylines in my area?
The large frequency of leylines makes it difficult to map them all in a region. Often only the strongest leylines are presented on a map. There are only a few maps of leylines, and if they exist you should be able to find them with a searchengine. About the frequency of leylines in your area you can visit the page Strong leylines.
