The people felt that these places were special, and always kept these in their minds. Worldwide there still exist many <U>old</U> temples and sacred sites, which were situated on crosspoints of leylines. Also high points in the landscape on earth contain crosspoints of leylines.</div> <div> - <U>Europe:</U> The ancient people here had sacred sites in nature, like sources, sacred trees or groups of trees, and other spots in nature. Also (Greek/Roman) temples were built as sacred site. Further back in time megalithic monuments were built like standing stones (menhirs), stone circles and dolmens. Also burial mounds and other sacred hills were created. </div> <div> - <U>Africa & Middle East:</U> Mostly spots in nature and heights in the landscape were used as sacred site. Besides this also temples and pyramids in ancient Egypt, monolithic churches of Lalibela in te Ethiopia and mosques built on old sacred sites.</div> <div> - <U>Asia:</U> The region has many temples, of which most of them are situated on a crosspoint of leylines. Some temple complexes are Angkor Wat in Cambodja and the Borobudur in Indonesia. Besides the temples they have many sacred sites in nature and other small sacred sites. And China has several pyramids.</div> <div> - <U>Australia:</U> The most powerful sacred site is Uluru (Ayers Rock), a red gigantic rock in the middle of Australia. There are only a few maps of leylines, and if they exist you should be able to find them with a searchengine.
